piratefoodog1ParticipantAlright, so, we all know we fire density 10 top damage minimum speed ki attacks in ki clashes.
But a person with 500k bp max, at 5% base, beating a 50mil bp base person, at 100% ssj3, with a ki attack in a ki clash, seems quite off.How I think ki attacks should work, is when you fire them, they have a number generated for them. That number would be called Ki Attack BP (Or Ki BP)
What would this mean, for ki attacks?
Well, when you want to deflect a Ki Attack, you have to do one thing. Punch it away like a ghast ball. Strange, but worked in the anime.
But that’s not all. Upon firing a Ki attack, depending on the Ki Attack’s Stats (Damage, Speed, etc.) as well as the user’s stats (Willpower mainly)
All this comes together in some sort of calculation, that chooses the Ki attack’s Ki Attack BP based on those things.Lets say, you have a BP of 5mil, and a high powered Ki Attack.
If this Ki Attack takes about all of your ki in order to fire, it will probably have say, 4.5mil Ki BP.If someone tries to deflect said ki attack, and the deflecter has a BP of say, 4mil, it would take almost all of their energy as well as stamina to do so.
If someone tries to deflect said ki attack, and the deflecter has a bp of say, 5mil, It will take a moderate amount (about 70%) of the users ki (or stamina/both).
If someone tries to deflect said ki attack, and the deflecter has a bp of say, 20 mil, It would take around 20% of their ki/stamina to deflect.
These are thought of without other factors, such as stats that would aid in deflecting ki.
How to stop people from knocking away your ki attacks?
Well, certain factors would make a ki attack harder to deflect.
Max Damage makes it harder to deflect, slow speed makes it harder to deflect by quite a lot (But easier to dodge) Higher Density would make it much harder to deflect.
Another factor is the type of the ki attack you’re using.
Waves are quite easy to deflect, while large blasts are quite harder.
Spirals and Discs are much harder to deflect, almost impossible, but discs are about normal in ki clashs.
Barrages are very easy to deflect, think a player with 5 million bp, deflecting a barrage from a player with 5 million bp as well, it would take like 3% power probably. With Ki Clashing, the higher number also wins, but, there’s one thing that should be added.
If you fire a wave, you’re stuck firing it, but can abort with left click.
However, staying in this mode with certain moves can allow you to control where it goes (Such as the Kamehameha, and Frieza’s death discs.)
Right clicking while in a wave would pour more energy into it, so while a weak wave might be losing a ki clash, you can pour more energy in to win.
Going kaioken or ssj (and such) while firing a wave would also make you pour stronger energy into it, so depending on your bp is how much strength you give your atttack. How to knock away ki attacks more effectivly?
Simple, certain stats would give you a better ability to knock away ki.
Willpower makes it consume less ki. (As you are trying to manifest enough energy to knock away the other energy.)
Strength makes it take less stamina. (You need to punch it hard, the stronger you are, the less effort that takes.)
Dex/Constitution also makes it take less stamina by a bit. (But the added maximum ki would help alot.)
Mind/Concentration makes it take less ki by a bit. (But the added maximum ki would help alot.)Other thoughts/ideas:
Super Breath: Would be learned from piccolo if you are good or neutral (At a low level, once that system is added) or buu if you are neutral or bad (from a higher level, but takes more tp)
What this would be, is basically a wave, but of air. It would be fired in a cone, and it would have a somewhat weak ki attack bp.So, what does this do?: this would be mainly for knocking weak players back, or weak ki clash moves. (However, works on multiable ki attacks at once)
If it’s made for ki clashing moves, why does it have weak ki attack bp?: Simple, because it would drain a moderate amount of stamina instead of ki.
Why not just deflect them?: Well, it’s easier to deflect something before it gets in front of your face-
this would also be much better against barrages, as it would be very hard to move around fast enough to deflect 30 ki barrages. While you are using Super Breath, it acts like a wave, with you having to stay still until the move is either over, or you left click to stop.
Right clicking would probably blow air harder, taking more stamina.
Looking around while blowing air would move where the cone of air is firing to.
Using that, you could make barrages almost useless against you, but only if you can use Super Breath fast enough.Super Breath gets stronger as it levels, taking less stamina, giving it a higher Ki Attack BP, and turning it into Super Flame Breath, making it do a bit of damage.
Ki Sensing: With Ki BP added, you need to know if you can deflect a move or not.
It wouldn’t just read on the screen “THIS IS TOO MUCH FOR YOU TO HANDLE!” Nappa thought the destructo disc would be a joke to handle. If you use a scouter on a ki move, it has a tab for how much Ki Attack BP it has.
This is very inefficient, as it takes around 3 seconds to read it.
Once you have Ki Sense, however, you could read a few things from the Ki Attack. It’s Ki Attack BP relative to your own BP.:
It would look quite like this
While this isn’t that good of a picture, this is a half decent estimation of what it would look like.
Let me break this down for you, anyways.
(KBP = Ki Battle Power)
The color of the icon changes depending on what’s relative to you.
The Greener it is, the weaker it is compared to you. Something easy to knock away.
The more Orange it is, the closer it is to your own power, meaning it would take almost all of your energy to knock it away.
The more Red it is, the stronger it is compared to your self, this is something so powerful that you would probably be unable to knock it away at all.The Alignment of the player that fired this ki attack:
Alright, so you would be able to read the alignment of the ki attack.
Not too much too it, but if your Ki Sense is high enough, you would also be able to Sense who fired a ki attack.
First, you need to scout the player with your Ki Sense, basically making a mental note of what their ki feels like.
Then, you can automatically see who fired that Ki Attack if they did it.While this system isn’t perfect, I’d like to see something like it implemented, Ki Clashes are no fun right now, when you just fire a super move at 5% base 20k bp, and beat a ssj3 guy going full force, at 200 mil.
And Ki Deflection would balance the barrage idea a bit more.inb4 someone tl;dr’s

TravelerSoulParticipantI agree with this as well, although considering Crimson hasn’t said anything about it, they’re problably going to have it work another way.

piratefoodog1ParticipantThat’s fine, as long as I inspire a few ideas, this is worth the time to create.

chiles07ParticipantGood ideal but i think in other to deflect ki attacks you have to eating some kind of food and it deflects the ki back

chiles07ParticipantSerious: I think when you bounce ki attacks that are weak back they should move faster than when shot, so it harder to dodge etc

chiles07ParticipantThe button should be Ctrl alt delete tab, pressed at the same time.

piratefoodog1Participant(Serious) My thought for the controls was that Super Breath would be a move, like any other pre-learnt ki move, and deflection is just punching the ki blasts, I was also thinking of another move that you can use on very close ki moves, which would be holding them back.
@chiles07
As for knocking back ki attacks, making them faster: Yes, that should be a thing, but the more of a power difference there is, the faster the move goes away.
One thing you could do, is have your friend fire a very slow, easily dodge move, at full power, and you knock it at the enemy, speeding it up quite alot.
