Space pod not working for me

      When i join the space pod in my friend world, i just fall but it says shift to leave it, and i cant use the menu to go to namek, like i am on the ship for him but not for me, and i cant use the menu to go to other worlds, so i am in the ship but i am not, can anyone help me?
