ParticipantHopefully the title got you interested enough by making you think “for what?”.
I am creating a list here of systems that I feel are in desperate need of love and attention, which if done right, could make the mod so much better than it currently is…
Transformations; Section 1
Transforming, especially for the first time, into a new form is usually shown to be very overwhelming, or even exhausting (For example, Goku going Super Saiyan 3 for the very first time on screen).
I will try not to sound too much like a broken record here, but practicing, and perfecting your transformations is a definite need in the mod.
How this can work is a level system, similar to ki, but levels up slightly differently.
At level one, you would have the current configured stats of the form you are currently using, however some sort of experience bar could be put somewhere on the top part of the screen. This experience bar would fill at a configurable rate, until completely filled. Another way of filling the bar is by transforming, of course with a configurable cool down for an experience boost, making this unable to be abused very easily.
The experience required to increase the forms level would increase as well, by a configurable rate. The maximum level should be configured between at least 5 and at most 250, making mastery a more difficult objective if it is higher.
Stats you could alter for a form should be;
Power: The multiplier of the form, able to be increased by up to 75%, if it hits the multiplier cap it will no longer be able to level up.
Energy Cost: If a form drains energy it will decrease it by up to 30-50%, if the form gives back energy it can increase the energy gained by up to 50%.
Transformation Time: This will affect how long it takes to go into any form that has increases in this, making transformations able to be instant upon pressing “G”.
Speed: This will affect your forms speed. While USSJ needs a definite speed reduction, this can lead to mastering a form to be able to travel faster than before, increasing your speeds up 75-100% (or 200% if you’re a speed demon).
Size: Increasing this will increase how much you grow while transformed, this also will directly put more focus into the Strength and Dexterity stats and slightly take away from the Willpower stat. This will also slow you down some, making for a more physical build of your transformation.
Focus: This will increase the Willpower for your form and take away from your Strength and Dexterity, versus the Size stat. Increasing this will also decrease how much a form causes you to grow. If the value gets high enough, you could even shrink from transforming.
These stats are only half of what I have to suggest for transformations, the second part starts here.
Transformations; Section 2
The other side of my suggestions for overhauling transformations, involves adding a method of creating custom transformations, like creating a custom Ki Attack, or custom Hair Style.
For Saiyans and Half-Saiyans this can mean for more colorful Super Saiyan forms, and the likes. This also can implement a way for Jin to not have to add so many forms anymore, as people can create their own custom forms. These forms, like traditional forms, can be upgraded and mastered. To create the forms, like a Ki Attack, you would have a TP cost, a Ki Drain value, and more.
For Humans, this means you can create forms that might give special auras, and the likes.
Arcosians are a definite tough one, because one might want to create a wild looking form, this of course could simply call for a bunch of spikes and stuff to be made as an option that has multiple looks, and etc…
Namekians are not really shown to transform per say, however Giant is their current known form. Maybe adding the option to alter their size by either increasing it to insane proportions or decreasing size, and increasing speed?
The benefits to a feature like this would be less needs for new super saiyan forms upon insane requests, even delving into the expanded media, such as games and the likes, which could then be reproduced in this custom form feature. Other benefits could be a “Custom Form Sharing” feature, both in game, and on here, similar to the hair functions.
That’s all I have to say for transformations, at the current moment, so feel free to reply to this part of the post (if you’re discussing something from a specific section please make it somewhat organized and label it like I have, thank you!).
Training
Training in it’s current status is VERY boring, with punching an animal or punching a shadow dummy, both are lack luster. This would also potentially call for a new stat system, and form of leveling stats.
New Stats (And some old, reworked ones);
Strength: Strength affects how hard you can hit with raw strength, and how much you can take without blocking an attack. It also affects your ability to knock enemies back. This stat can also increase how much damage you block.
Dexterity: Focuses on increasing your damage output with physical attacks, this would most likely increase the chance for a “Critical” hit, and how hard it actually hits.
Constitution: This state would entirely and only affect your body stat, and would increase resilience to damage every so often.
Stamina: This removes stamina from the constitution stat, and allows for a more useful stamina system. Transforming, and holding transformations would drain small amounts of stamina, with forms such as Super Saiyan Blue and the likes having increased drain. Stamina from punching would solely depend on your Strength, Dexterity, and Stamina. If your stamina stat is lower than your strength stat, you will use a large amount of stamina, if strength is lower you will use less than transforming.
Speed: This stat would be your base form’s speed. The higher you get this, the faster you are.
Willpower: Like before this will increase your Ki Damage output, however with this suggestion, Ki attacks would be also draining stamina. The higher your willpower is, over your stamina, the higher the stamina drain.
Ki Control: This stat would allow for you to over charge your Ki attacks more and more. The base limit should be a 10% overcharge, with an increase every configured amount.
Ki Reserves: This would increase your overall Ki Pool, in balance with the Stamina stat, this also is needed for proper usage of Ki Attacks.
Now for the training part of this!
Basically the idea is that instead of punching something a ton, you can preform the actions linked. Similar to how an Elder Scrolls game does it, specifically from my experience, TES 3-5 all have this system. You preform an action related to a stat, and it increases. The only issue is stat’s such as Ki Reserves and Stamina. This is a simple solution, where as, charging Ki can increase the stat, and resting (not preforming any actions) after running out of stamina can increase the stamina stat.
Weights would increase stamina usage, and decrease speed, however the weights would give a percentage boost to how fast a physical stat increases.
Increased Gravity would do the same, but at much higher levels.
For Ki Stats, clashing blasts and the likes can boost the increase!
The actions related to physical stats can also include various activities such as weight lifting, push-ups, etc…
Actions related to Ki Skills can also include the concentration mini-game, which can give TP for creating Ki attacks and the likes.
Skills should increase in level by using them.
I.E. Enough usage of Kaioken will increase it’s levels, taking heavy damage will increase endurance, and so on.
Random other overhauls that are WAY less important! (and will be left to responses to dicuss)
This includes improved colors for SSB and SSG, maybe even SS Rose!
Of course more customization, which is seemingly planned from what I have read…
And, this is the last one, better npc master system!

Okay this is pretty good!
Transformations; Section 1
I love everything except the fact that you can increase speed as the transformation levels up. Speed is supposed to be increased by dexterity, and it will probably be implemented later on.Transformations; Section 2
I disagree, custom transformations for saiyans wouldn’t be good imo, for humans i like the idea, maybe full released could have a custom aura.
And for arcosians i don’t want it to happen. Unless it allows you to change the colors of the golden form, then maybe.Training
Thoughts on the attributes:
I don’t like having HP and defense at the same stat, neither do i like defense/blocking defense and attack power in the same stat. I like some of your ideas for new attribute skills like criticals, but lemme just post how i would like them to be:Strength – Increases attack damage. If this is higher than your dexterity, you have lower chances of getting crits (strength 1.1x your dex, 10% lower chance for crits, dex 1.1x your str, 10% higher chance for crits)
Dexterity: Increases your blocking defense, and it’s used on the crit system with strength.
Constitution: This state would entirely and only affect your body stat.
(I left stamina untouched)
Stamina: This removes stamina from the constitution stat, and allows for a more useful stamina system. Transforming, and holding transformations would drain small amounts of stamina, with forms such as Super Saiyan Blue and the likes having increased drain. Stamina from punching would solely depend on your Strength, Dexterity, and Stamina. If your stamina stat is lower than your strength stat, you will use a large amount of stamina, if strength is lower you will use less than transforming.Speed: This stat would be your base form’s speed. The higher you get this, the faster you are.
(Turbo mode needs to be removed for this to not be utterly useless, though.)Toughness: This will increase damage absorbed without blocking, but it should also increase stamina regen. Stamina regen is very needed cause after a certain point you have to wait ages and ages for your stamina to fill up.
Willpower: Like before this will increase your Ki Damage output, however with this suggestion, Ki attacks would be also draining stamina. The higher your willpower is, over your stamina, the higher the stamina drain. (.)
Ki Control: This stat would allow for you to over charge your Ki attacks more and more. The base limit should be a 10% overcharge, with an increase every configured amount.(It should also increase flying speed)
Focus (Ik you made it a skill in your transformation level upthing, but whatever):
So this skill will not increase the amount of TP you need to upgrade an attribute, and it will instead increase the multiplier of the score that gets converted into TP when you play the concentration minigame (So it’s not useless once you’re really strong), plus it will increase the amount of TP you get from punches, or all activities.Ki Reserves: This would increase your overall Ki Pool, in balance with the Stamina stat, this also is needed for proper usage of Ki Attacks. (.)
man my reply is big… but whatever. Next:
I don’t really like that, tbh i like the simplicity of TP and the full control you get over your attributes. Maybe, if you still needed TP to upgrade the attribute, but there was a small yellow bar next to the attribute that filled up when you did the actions that require that stat to work specificly (dexterity increases with blocking and doing crits, strength with punching and using weights, etc.). If you went on to increase the attribute while the bar isn’t full, you’d have to pay twice the TP. The bar should also be able to fill up up to 100x or something, so you don’t have to increase attributes every single minute.
Also, tp should be easier to get than filling the bar, i just think that’s more logical. For weights i agree, but i just think that if your weights are higher than 50% of your str the stamina regen should be half, or something, and if they’re 80%+ you should take damage.
Also, masters should have a weight max (Kami 20, goku 50, cell 60, babidi 10 [lol, babidi], etc.) and weights shouldn’t be as effective as gravity training.anyways, good post

ParticipantWell, this is one long but good post, it’s been a while.
But I just realized that with your training system, that’d unlock something amazing and purely impossible ’til now : training by fighting ! Isn’t it just the best way to train ? Okay you may progress way slower than an hardcore training in the HTC, but still it’d be finally a funny way to train.
