Generic, clickbait title: Custom Forms.

“Odyssey, people have requested this so much now” I know but if you would… “Odyssey you’re against the idea of Jin making Ultra Instinct, but you want custom forms? What?” Let me explain: this is an idea that is pretty much meant so that there isn’t a limit to the one thing everyone wants, which is a custom form. Hear me out on his, Basically instead of implementing some easy way to do it, why not make a tutorial one how the coding for a form would work, so that instead of those people who work tirelessly to try to crack some Illuminati code set by Jin himself, there would be an answer and anyone with open, private servers or even single player people can enjoy the fact that they spent maybe 20 minutes using the example or instructions made by whoever wants to post it, whether it be Jin himself, Crimson or even that one Aegous guy, whatever would make people shut up when some new form comes out or some non canon trend happens, people can make it and possibly share it with others.

I totally Agree with you we can at least be taught privately via discord or skype whatevs
besides it would be a great thing to have and to share with only friends without posting it
(But… It’s a no no for Jin)
First Off Jin doesn’t want his code edited
Second We can’t guarantee that no-one will make a YT Video out of this and claim it as his own discovery
Third and Lastly We can’t guarantee that whatever you do to Jin’s code (Edit it) won’t get released publicly Example was the Modpack Crisis wherein it caused Site Traffic

But all in all I wish they could’ve taught at least a few of us how to do it :O
or maybe make a easy feature where admins on a server can create them 🙁

No proper way exists for Jin to make a simple system that would allow a normal person to make their own custom form. I didn’t edit Jin’s code to make my forms, I made my own separate mod that takes advantage of that fact that Jin’s mod is made with forge and he has used forge features that can be accessed and modified externally to make my custom forms.

I’d also like to point out that my custom forms are very limited and do have their problems and use some very hacky methods to make them work which would cause people massive problems if they didn’t have the coding ability to write up fixes for it.

cant he just make it like ki blast?where we can make the forms he already has look different and give it a range of multipliers but it would drain a certain amount?

That system would be too open and it would also be rather limited if it was going to work. What the topic creator was talking about (I believe) is the ability for a server owner to add custom forms that are server specific.

I’m not entirely sure how it all works but I believe (not saying this is a fact) that jin has hard-coded every single form multiplier and most likely tagged them with final meaning that they can’t be modified and you wouldn’t be able to try and replicate the stat boosting externally if he has done it the way I think.

Well that is easier said than done. Jin’s entire system has the stat increase that doesn’t actually modify the stats in the playerdata as that causes many bugs and if the system he has in place is how I think it is then you can’t really do much about it. Say Jin made it so it detects what form you’re in from your playerdata and goes “Okay so this is ssjg so I’ll get this multiplier and apply it” and if the stat increase is all hard-coded then you wouldn’t be able to freely specify the stat boost you want for your custom form.
