piratefoodog1ParticipantSo, custom races will eventually be added, but how should their forms work?
How should creating races overall work?Here’s how I think making races should work.
When you create a race, you should be able to choose model parts, hair, horns, tails, color, all customizeable to make your own race, ranging from saibamen arms to dabora’s head, as well as custom models like with hair, so you would have full control of how your race looks.
The models should also be able to be changed of color, so red saibamen arms, or a green dabora head going around being like “ITS ALL OGRE FOR YOU” but not saying that, just implying it.For race attributes, you should have a set amount of points, such as this-
You have 1-5 on Body, Speed, Stamina, Max Ki, Ki Control, and Ki Regen.
1 is bad, 3 is normal, and 5 is outstanding (Like with martial artist and such, but instead of 1-3 its 1-5)You would have 20 stats to put into those 6 modifiers.
So you could have 1-5 in any stat.
so 3 into all stats.
Now you have 2 points leftover, why is this?Well, if all races were balanced at 3/5 on all, then there isn’t much variation, boring right?
So you have 3/5 on 5 stats, and 5/5 on 1 stat.
Or you have 3/5 on 4 stats, and 4/5 2 stats.
Now, you might be thinking
“Can’t you have 5/5 on 3 stats, 2/5 on 2, and 1/5 on 1? isn’t that a bit op to have 3 stats
at maximum power with only 1 stat terrible, and 2 stats below average?”
Well the key part of that, is that 1/5 on any stat will make your race really bad.With 1/5 speed, afterimage will mess you up horribly.
With 1/5 stamina, close range will mess you up, with low stamina to punch with.
With 1/5 body, you’ll die quickly.
With 1/5 Max Ki, you’ll run out of ki very fast.
With 1/5 Ki Control, you’ll do minimal damage with ki, and do less damage with punchs as well.
With 1/5 Ki Regen, you’ll run out of ki, and won’t be able to get ki back fast enough.
So having 1/5 in anything is a large weakness to you, unless you have such a playstyle that it doesn’t effect you much.“So, you’re stuck at 3/5 on 5 stats, with 5/5 on only one stat? Or 2, but that wouldn’t change much about the race would it?”
Well, a race with 3/5 3/5 3/5 3/5 3/5 and a 5/5 wouldn’t be too special, but that’s more of a balanced race that’s more focused on 1 or 2 stats.
you could also have a 2/5 2/5 3/5 4/5 4/5 5/5 that is below average on 2 stats, decent on 1,
above average on 2, and perfect on 1.
This system would mean alot of combinations for races, making each unique.Martial Artist and such would effect custom races stats, making races even more special.
Now, just the basic stats of races doesn’t make it that interesting, but what about forms?
For forms, you should be able to have 0-8 transformations.
You could make a race with 8 transformations, weaker in base form, takes alot of time to get to final form, but the final form is less draining.Or you could have 1 transformation, a medium boost at fast charge speed, taking quite alot of ki.
You could also have 0 transformations, always being in base form, however- you have a passive boost of power, and can fuse with members of your home planet.
“Home planet? What random idea have you thought of now?”
Well, what if when space is added to dbc, you have a “Home Planet”
this home planet would spawn villagers of your race, which you can fuse with as wanted.
When you make a race, you could have an option.Fusion Type: Namekian Potara: Perma Fusion which cannot be undone, works exactly like namekian fusion. (as you get stronger you can fuse) would require high relationship with npc, or a evil player much stronger than you and the namekian npc, that kills 50 or so of your race, would allow for a friendly fusion to take place.
Fusion Type: Fusion Dance: Fusion only lasts 1 minecraft day (20 minutes or so) but is slightly stronger than Namekian Potara.
Fusion Type: Absorbing: Works like majin fusion, absorbing the person into yourself making you stronger, would have lesser strength as Namekian Potara, but would work on killed/knocked out players against their will.
The more transformations a race has, the weaker fusion would be for them.
If two 8 transformation race members fuse, they would have a much smaller modifier than something such as two 0 transformation race member fusing, assuming those 2 members have the same power as the 8 transformation members.
Pretty much, if Piccolo and Kami were the same base power as Goku and Vegeta when they fused into vegeto, Piccolo and Kami would probably be stronger.
As well as balancing reasons.As for home planets, there is a chance for a village to have another race’s member in it, a nice vanity feature, as well for if your home planet was destroyed by someone, and you have no one to fuse with.
Wall of Text, keep those alien tyrants out of your house!
If that isn’t enough for your tyrants, try Super Pesticide 1.0, (Warning, not enough for mutant cicadas, Super Pesticide 2.0 needed for those.)Tl;dr
make a race with customizable parts, choose what stats they specialize in, choose how many forms they have, and their fusion type.credit to @Moocow3000 for helping me a bit with ideas/hearing them out so this isn’t trash

ZenoParticipantI was thinking about how to expand on this so here it is
Alright so what I had in mind is once you create your own custom race the data is saved on the server so other people can play as your race
Also having more transformation’s shouldn’t nerf fusion but it should nerf your transformation’s like the more transformation’s you have the weaker the earlier stage transformation’s are -

piratefoodog1ParticipantI already had in mind that you could invite people to your race/they could find your home planet and become a member of your race, which would act like a kami reset, but you become one of that race.
It would be in another tab from default races to avoid confusion if it was a public race, you would name the race as well.Transformations would work like that, but a race with a large amount of transformations would be stronger in the end, so if 2 final form race members fuse, and 2 no form race members fuse, if their base were even it would mean that the no forms would be about par on the final formers.
But, the base formers would be slightly weaker, since the fusion power wouldn’t be weakened enough for fusion on final formers to be useless, just weaker enough to give base formers a chance at winning. -

piratefoodog1ParticipantWell, I do agree that more transformations would make your base weaker and weaker, 8 transformations would probably hit base power at 3rd form or so, but would have a higher boost in the end.
