The Forum Rules work for the Comments as well on all across sites the JinGames Network!
Comments are also considered as posts, if not stated otherwise!

    • Posts are to be made in the relevant category. Users are asked to read the forum descriptions before posting. Users consistently posting to the wrong forum may be given a warning (see policing below).
    • Members should post in a way that is respectful of other users. Flaming, spaming, or abusing users in anyways will not be tolerated. You will be given a warning if you do any of these.
    • Members should remember this board is aimed at a general audience. Posting pornographic or generally offensive text, images, links, etc. will not be tolerated and will lead to a warning.
    • Members are asked to respect the copyright of other users, sites, media, etc. Users linking to or asking for information on warez, crackz, etc. or re-printing material without permission will receive a warning and their post will be removed.
    • Members are asked only to post in English, as this is an English speaking community. Localized support is available at the “Any language forums”.
    • Members should post in a way which is consistent with “normal writing”. That is users should not post excessive numbers of emoticons, large, small or colored text, etc. Similarly users should not SHOUT or use excessive punctuation (e.g. ! and ?) in topic titles or posts. Users consistently abusing this will be warned.
    • Spam is not tolerated here under any circumstance. Users posting spam will be warned and their post removed.
    • The moderating, support and other teams reserve the right to edit, remove or put on moderation queue any post at any time. Please note that currently any very first post is automatically placed in the moderation queue and will be approved/disapproved according to the present Rules. The determination of what is construed as indecent, vulgar, spam, etc. as noted in these points is up to Team Members and not users.

I consider JinGames as my home, the place I work and live for and who likes haters in their house?
In my case, posting a counter productive comment extends the development time and makes it harder and harder to work on important stuff. In this case the mods development suffer a lot because of them.
Therefore more strict rules will be applied for the Comments of blog posts.

Comments that violate the rules below will be removed without warning!

    • Any counter productive, disrespectful and offensive comment will be removed without warning.
    • Comments that doesn’t help the development will also be removed without warning
    • Anything that discourages development will be removed without warning.
    • Starting a personal conversation without any connection to the development will be removed without warning.
    • Negativity is accepted only if its a constructive and productive opinion. otherwise will be removed without warning.
    • Site moderators have the right to decide whether a comment or post is acceptable or not and remove it without warning, within the above rules.

Since the comment section fought this out, those who didn’t have anything to do with any of this (respect to them), can feel assured that this all is for in their protection and to stop counter productive opinions from slowing down and potentially killing development time.

Development is first, then come the players.
Just for information, even without users the development will continue. since the point of all this is the experience gained from it, because the mods are free to use anyway.
Thus there will be zero tolerance.

The staff has the right to add, change or remove any rules anytime!

-Posts are to be made in the relevant category. Users are asked to read the forum descriptions before posting. Users consistently posting to the wrong forum may be given a warning (see policing below).

    reasonable

-Members should post in a way that is respectful of other users. Flaming, spaming, or abusing users in anyways will not be tolerated. You will be given a warning if you do any of these.

Reasonable but at the same time can be used wrong. I could say something is true and someone could take that as a personal attack and think it is disrespectful.

-Members should remember this board is aimed at a general audience. Posting pornographic or generally offensive text, images, links, etc. will not be tolerated and will lead to a warning.

    I agree

-Members are asked to respect the copyright of other users, sites, media, etc. Users linking to or asking for information on warez, crackz, etc. or re-printing material without permission will receive a warning and their post will be removed.

    I agree

-Members are asked only to post in English, as this is an English speaking community. Localized support is available at the “Any language forums”.

    Agree

-Members should post in a way which is consistent with “normal writing”. Eh ok

-Spam is not tolerated here under any circumstance. Users posting spam will be warned and their post removed.

I mean….this rule could be used with the hole add this form and add that form kind of people.

-The moderating, support and other teams reserve the right to edit, remove or put on moderation queue any post at any time. Please note that currently any very first post is automatically placed in the moderation queue and will be approved/disapproved according to the present Rules. The determination of what is construed as indecent, vulgar, spam, etc. as noted in these points is up to Team Members and not users.

This can be abused as something I see as vulgar or spam could not be considered vulgar or spam. I mean I see lot’s of people say “add UI” and that’s spam to me yet it’s still stays in the comments. Offenses in the eyes of the beholder as they say.

-Any counter productive, disrespectful and offensive comment will be removed without warning.

I will say again, offenses in the eyes of the beholder but at the same time this rule could be abused. I could say “We don’t have enough information to have UI added to dbc at this time. plz wait patiently” and someone could find this offensive and get triggered.

-Comments that doesn’t help the development will also be removed without warning

This could be abused as well as someone could have constructive criticism and if it triggers someone it can be removed as it “doesn’t help the development”

    – Anything that discourages development will be removed without warning.

Same thing as I noted about any counter productive, disrespectful and offensive comment will be removed without warning. Anything could be discouraging. Someone could say something in the most productive way yet it could still be discouraging.

-Starting a personal conversation without any connection to the development will be removed without warning.

I can agree with this. If your going to start a conversation in the comments…I mean come on take that in a chat.

-Negativity is accepted only if its a constructive and productive opinion. otherwise will be removed without warning.

    I agree to a point.

-it’s moderators have the right to decide whether a comment or post is acceptable or not and remove it without warning, within the above rules.

This spells out corruption to me as yes the mods have to go by the rule’s BUT they could find loopholes or bend the rule’s to serve them.

I agree with some rule’s and I know they had to be put in place and the comments are getting bad. I mean I had a guy go after me because I told a guy to stop asking for UI as he posted three time for jin to add UI, yet someone guy had a great idea to start a fight with me. Trust me the comments can get hot at time’s. But I can see this going awry to fast. I mean one of the mod’s does not know the definition of freedom of speech and I kindly found it for him. I like your mod jin but I am concerned how things are going.

Also I wanted to point this part out. “Members are asked to respect the copyright of other users, sites, media, etc. Users linking to or asking for information on warez, crackz, etc. or re-printing material without permission will receive a warning and their post will be removed.”

I mean it’s kind of hypocritical as this rule is in place to respect the copyright law but jin your making a mod that is dbz/dbs and that’s going against copyright laws. I remember I used to play a game on byond called Dragon Universe. It was a game just like your’s, using saiyans, arco’s, and so on from dbz/dbs. Well the dev was…eh he was a bad guy so what the people would do was send message’s to funimation about the game saying it’s copyright and you know what happen? It got shut down. Last night I logged on to see how Du was doing and I found a message saying “This game was removed for copyright”

So I need to ask, how can people be expected to follow this rule when you just broke the rule you made as in “Members are asked to respect the copyright of other users, sites, media, etc.” This could come off a bit harsh but I had to point it out is all.

Fair use did not save DU when they were making money off of the dbz franchise. Trust me man I have seen it happen. Xgen told everyone fair use for DU but he got shut down. Just like pixlemon, they got shut down as well and they were making money off of pokemon to…wait that was the server guys that were making money…yeah I think the dev’s did it for free…wow that’s even worse. But even so that does not answer my question. If your braking the law by copyright and you tell people no copyright then how can we follow that rule if you broke it already o.o

I was doing some reading and I found some information and really…this all make’s sense and fair use may not apply in this instance with your mod. Give it a read it was quite educational for me http://www.workmadeforhire.net/the-rest/lets-talk-about-copyright-infringment/

I’ve stated this a few times in the past, and yes you’re right. Fair use does not cover Jin in this case. He could be sued for pretty much everything he is worth because of this. Also fair use would allow anyone to download and edit the mod as they wish. The terms and conditions that he has put in place violate several things listed in the minecraft terms and conditions for modding.
